Credit Lyonnais New York May 1999 - February 2000 I did not stray far after Citibank. I went just across the river to midtown Manhattan to work for the top French bank Credit Lyonnais. Again no interview was required, as two people at CL had also worked on the same project at Citibank. We knew the same people and then a good reference works miracles. The French must be the most social bankers in New York. We are playing billards or chess almost every week. And I get to know a lot of excellent French restaurants and bars. The project itself has been challenging, installing the Summit System in the back-office of an organization, where quite a few systems are more than a decade old. Thanks to excellent leadership the project has been a great success, getting the system installed just in time for the y2k system freeze.
